KameManNen – Since1917
The history of KameManNen, which is said to be the oldest eyewear brand in Japan, began in 1917 at the city of Fukui, with a plating factory called “Kimura Seisakusho”. After the Second World War, this was developed to an eyewear factory based in Sabae and KameManNen was born. In 1981 KameManNen successfully used titanium, which is known for its durability and lightness to produce eyewear for the first time in the world, introducing Sabae’s high production quality to the world. The name KameManNen came from a Japanese proverb, “A crane lives a thousand years, a turtle ten thousand years” (Tsuru wa sennen, Kame wa mannen in Japanese. A proverb depicts longevity)”, which was the desire of the founder, Kikujiro Kimura. The brand aspires to continue the concept of KameManNen to pursue not only the beauty of the design itself, but also precise production of eyewear of the highest quality.
DITA Flight 006 for André Opticas
We celebrate our 40th anniversary this year and among the many ways we have chosen to celebrate this moment was the production of a new limited series, with one of the most important brands of eyewear in the world, DITA, a brand that is a reference and needs no introduction.
With high-end glasses made in Japan, using only the finest and noblest materials, and which has millions of followers, DITA is the choice of countless personalities from the world music, cinema and arts.
Together with DITA, we re-edited FLIGHT 006, which became one of the biggest bestsellers ever when they were used by Tom Holland in the film Spider Man, Far From Home and Robert Downey Jr in the role of Iron Man in the avengers infiniy war, the famous Edith.
AndréOpticas X DITA Flight 006 is, however, even more special than DITA’s own Flight 006 of which only a few thousand are produced for the world market.
André Opticas FLIGHT 006 was executed in a special edition, 40 units, available only in André Opticas boutiques and in the online store.
Each piece has its own serial number and comes signed with the collaboration seal of the two brands. A unisex shape, built in Japanese Titanium, eyepieces in cotton acetate, titanium temples with end tips printed with the classic diamond pattern. A piece that is already a classic, turned into a true collector model.

DITA-EPILUXURY consists of six frames formed from natural, precious, and technical materials, all uniquely engineered to serve as both essential accessories and transmutable objects of desire.
DITA-EPILUXURY’S six frames are designed as a modular system. Switch between a straight temple to a performance oriented cable temple. With DITA-EPILUXURY Flagship frames, mineral glass lenses encased in titanium also become interchangeable with an easy locking mechanism.
DITA-EPILUXURY is a playground for pushing the limits of manufacturing, with a debut collection so complex it took 39 months from conception to completion. Only a highly specialized manufacturer could achieve DITA-EPILUXURY’S interchangeable temple design. The temple, built from 21 pieces and possessing a functioning spring hinge, is the culmination of a process of design and develop- ment pushing engineer, designer, and craftsman forward.
All DITA-EPILUXURY frames are hand numbered limited editions, with the Core collection limited to 500 pieces per color and the Flagship collection limited to 200 pieces per color.
